MAY

May I say today that I woke up to the moment light begins

May I say that I saw the journey of shooting stars

May I say that I rose on the first dawn in May and was blazed by such fierce bewilderment

May I say that I feel like the moon and my shadow glows so graciously to a visionary when a vast smiling light appears

May I say that my wide eyes met the wise smile of moonlight as she rises above the Sun

May I say that I revere the lone bird perched high on the rooftop breathing still

May I say that I woke up from slumber to limber on this love ground

May I say that I don’t belong to myself for even half a breath

May I desire nothing but a steadfast spirit and the clarity of love’s fire and blaze my ego moths one after another

May I become totally free of ‘mays’ and surrender to God’s will each passing day

May I say that I didn’t come to this Tavern of my own accord so I cannot go that way

May I say that this poetry is a meeting place for the fierce mouse body that spills beautiful stories and frog-like soul that swims the lake of natural happenings??!
